You are given seven letters arranged in a honeycomb. Make as many words as you can, each at least four letters long, and every word must include the centre letter. Letters can be used more than once in a single word.
A pangram is a word that uses all seven letters at least once. Every puzzle has at least one. Finding a pangram feels great and earns a seven-point bonus on top of the word's normal score.
Four-letter words score one point. Longer words score one point per letter, so a six-letter word is worth six. Pangrams earn their length plus a seven-point bonus. Your rank climbs from Beginner all the way up to Genius as your score grows.
Common English words of four or more letters that use only the seven letters shown and include the centre letter. Very obscure words, hyphenated words and proper nouns are not part of the answer list.
Not at all. Genius is set at a high share of the total points so it is a real achievement, but every word you find moves you up the ranks. Play as long as you like, then load a new puzzle.
