Your British spellings count. Where a word is spelled differently on each side of the pond and the British version is five letters long, that is the one the game recognises:

Your everyday words are in the mix. It is not only about spelling. British vocabulary that an American word list might skip is part of the deck here, so words like LORRY, QUEUE, NAPPY, TELLY, BLOKE, DODGY and BARMY are all fair game, both as your guesses and as the hidden answer.
